Seton Medical Center Harker Heights welcomes its first Baby of the New Year

HARKER HEIGHTS, TEXAS (January 1, 2021) – Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) is proud to welcome the first baby born at SMCHH in 2021. Jasper Dean Byington was born at 2:43 a.m. on Jan. 1 to Shannon and James Byington. He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz, and measured 21.5 inches long. The parents received a congratulatory basket from SMCHH to commemorate the birth.

Each year, more than 600 babies are welcomed into the world at SMCHH. We have pediatricians, OB/GYNs, certified nurse midwives, neonatal nurse practitioners and an experienced nursing staff on site to anticipate and care for your needs. SMCHH provides childbirth education classes to support the entire childbirth experience.
