Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) is an 83-bed acute care hospital opened in 2012 in Harker Heights, Texas offering an array of services such as a Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated Emergency Room, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, a dedicated Women’s Center, Diagnostic Services and more. We provide exceptional care through collaboration with our associates, physicians, volunteers and community partners. Our award-winning staff provides patient care with dignity and respect.  We are Joint Commission Accredited, an Accredited Chest Pain Center, and Advanced Primary Stroke Center. SMCHH is a joint venture between the Austin-based Seton Healthcare Family and Nashville-based Ardent Health Services.

Administration Team

 

Zachary K. Dietze, Chief Executive Officer

Zach Dietze joined Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in August 2012 as Assistant Administrator and was promoted to CEO in December 2016 . Prior to joining SMCHH and Ardent Health Services, Dietze was the Program Manager for ACO Development with the Harris Health System in Houston, Texas. In this role he was responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Harris Health’s Accountable Care Organization Pilot. Prior to this role, he completed his administrative residency with the Harris Health System, one of the country’s largest public health systems. Dietze was raised in Round Rock, Texas and received his Bachelors of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin, and his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of HealthCare Executives (FACHE).

George Fayer, Chief Financial Officer

George Fayer  joined  Seton Medical Center in 2015, prior to being the interim CFO. Fayer has been with LHP for nearly four years working on acquisitions and divestitures and other projects. Prior to joining LHP Hospital he was the Senior VP/CFO for Wuesthoff Health System in Rockledge FL.  In addition he was CFO with HCA at JFK Medical Center, and  CFO at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami FL He graduated from University of South Florida with a BA in Accounting, and received an MBA from the University of Tampa.

David B. Mitchell, Vice President of Physician Services Wellstone Health Partners Harker Heights

David B. Mitchell joined Seton Medical Center and Wellstone Health Partners in January 2019. David’s career has been built by leading medical organizations in Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Washington, and Minnesota. While most of his experience is in medical group practices, he has also worked long-term care and small business consulting.

Mitchell completed his Bachelors Degree and MBA at Texas Tech University with a certificate in Health Organization Management.
