HARKER HEIGHTS, TX (December 19, 2025) – Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) and Wellstone Health Partners today announced the appointment of Mandy Shaiffer, RN, MSN, as chief executive officer (CEO). Shaiffer brings more than 18 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience and a proven track record of operational excellence, clinical innovation and community engagement.
Shaiffer has served as chief nursing officer (CNO) at SMCHH since 2021 and added chief operating officer (COO) duties to her role in August of 2025, where she directed clinical and administrative operations for the acute care hospital. During her tenure, she spearheaded initiatives that significantly improved nurse retention, eliminated contract labor expenses, and enhanced patient satisfaction. Her leadership efforts have helped earn the hospital multiple national recognitions, including Leapfrog Top Hospital honors, 10+ consecutive Leapfrog “A” safety grades, multiple quality and operational excellence awards from the organization’s parent company Ardent Health.
Under Shaiffer’s guidance, SMCHH implemented strategic improvements in emergency department throughput, reducing wait times and improving care delivery. She also championed innovation through programs such as a virtual nursing pilot, leveraging existing resources without additional capital investment. Shaiffer will continue as CNO in addition to her new role as well.

Shaiffer holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Administration and Management from Aspen University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She is an active community health advocate and serves on local boards to advance health initiatives.
