Visiting Hours and Information

**With our country experiencing a pandemic, COVID-19, we are committed to providing exceptional care while ensuring the safety of our patients and visitors.  In order to protect patients and healthcare personnel by reducing unnecessary exposure, we have reduced vistation.  Visitors must pass a health screening and must wear a mask at all times while in our facilities.  

One visitor, 16 years or older, is allowed per patient per day from 7 am to 7 pm in the ICU.

One visitor, 16 years or older, is allowed per patient per day in the Emergency Department. 

One visitor, 16 years or older, is allowed for outpatient services.

Two visitors, 16 years or older, are allowed in the Labor and Delivery and Medical/Surgical departments per day. One visitor may stay overnight, but the second visitor must leave when visiting hours end at 7 pm.

Visitors for all COVID-19 positive patients will be required to wear full PPE.

Visitor movement is restricted to the patient room.

No COVID-positive visitors will be allowed entry.  

Other exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

All visitors must wear a mask and stay in the patient's room for the duration of their visit.  

Parking

Visitor parking is free and is conveniently located steps from the main entrance of the hospital.

Registration/Surgery

The admitting area for surgery is open at 5 a.m..

Chaplains

Spiritual needs of all patients are respected and supported through the services of the volunteer chaplains. Patients, families, visitors and staff members, regardless of religious affiliation, may request Pastoral Care. To request spiritual services, please call 254-690-0900 or 254-680-6279.

Chapel

The SMCHH chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital near the Main Lobby. You are invited to enter for prayer, meditation or quiet reflection 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Gift Shop

Angel's Cottage gift shop is located on the first floor near the main entrance of the hospital on the west side of the building.
Monday & Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Coffee Bar

We Proudly Brew by Starbucks is located on the first floor of the hospital near the Main Lobby. 

Cafeteria

Elizabeth’s Café is located on the first floor to the right of the Main Lobby. Visa/MasterCard are accepted. 24-hour vending services are available in the Emergency Department lobby.

Gift Restrictions

Only Mylar balloons may be brought into the hospital because of the risk of latex allergies. If you wish to bring food to a patient, please check with the nurse on the patient’s unit as dietary restrictions may apply.

Visiting Restrictions

Semi-private rooms are limited in space, so we kindly ask you to limit guests to two per visit. In some units, visitors must be over the age of 12. You can find out if there are age restrictions on the unit you are visiting by calling 254-690-0900. Visitors who have been exposed to chicken pox, tuberculosis, mumps, measles, shingles, or any other infectious disease within the past three weeks should speak with the unit nurse before visiting. In some cases they may not be allowed to visit as it might pose a health risk.

Photography, Video-recording and Audio-recording Policy

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (SMCHH) seeks to create an environment in which all patients, visitors and staff feel safe, comfortable and that their privacy is protected while utilizing our services or providing care. SMCHH, therefore, does not allow the use of photography, video-recording, and/or audio-recording of patients, visitors, volunteers or SMCHH staff in the facility.
